Rebel Road was formed 2008 in Mellerud, Sweden.

A small town in the state of Dalsland.

Some of the band members who formed the band had been playing together since the 80’s, recording their own music for nearly four decades.

In the 90’s the band members also began to play in coverbands,toured with some of Swedens biggest artists and appeared on national TV. Signing management and record deals in the mid 90’s but unfortunately, that didn’t work out.

In 2000 the members of the band continued to write songs and toured a lot.

At last, in 2008, Rebel Road was formed and released about 10 songs on Myspace. American radio began to play the music after signing a promotion deal in Nashville. At this time Rebel Road appeared on Swedish and European radio as well

In the years to come Rebel Road fine tuned their sound and music, went back to the roots. Growing up listening to acts like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kiss, Deep Purple, Motorhead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen the band combined that 70’s / 80’s sound with the sound of todays modern rock.

It has always been about rock’n’roll but when the band added a little piece of outlaw country into the music the pieces really started to fall into place.

The music is probably best described as some kind of mix of Classic Rock and Southern Rock.

”To write songs has always been a big part of my life ever since  I was a little kid.
Singer songwriters like Bruce Springsteen has been a big inspiration to me” says lead singer Ulrich Seppenen.

In 2010 Rebel Road began to tour in Sweden doing club gigs and festivals.

2012 the band recorded three songs which producer Roberto Laghi mixed at InFlames Studios, Gothenburg.

In 2013 Rebel Road signed a deal with the Swedish label Rambo, a part of Gain/Sony Music.

The bands debut album Lock & Load was recorded at Toys In The Attic and mastered by Stephen Marcussen at Marcussen Mastering ( Foo Fighters, Kiss, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi etc.)

Lock & Load was released Mars 5 2014, the album received good reviews from the critics.

After some consideration the band decided to begin to release singles instead of a full length album.

July 23 2023 the first single, Hangin’ On By A Broken Chain was released and after that nine more songs has been released as singles. The plan is to feed the streaming platforms algorithms to gain some traction.
